Sha Sha Higby's "In Folds of Tea" August 13, 2009

The Mendcino Art Center presents legendary international performance artist Sha Sha Higby in "In Folds of Tea," Wednesday, August 13, 7:00 pm, at the Matheson Performing Arts Center. Whirling within a dense, lacelike thicket of her own design, Sha Sha's exotic sculptural costume and puppetry dance is a profound drama of memory and timelessness. Internationally renowned for her evocative and haunting performances, Sha Sha is influenced by her studies in Asia, Noh Theater, Butoh and shadow puppets.
