SFJFF Presents a free film/art/parkour event just for teens

FREEFLOW, an Israeli parkour filmᅠ
Followed by: BUILT a Photo Launch Partyᅠ

Thursday, Oct 4, 6pm, FREE
Contemporary Jewish Museum, 736 Mission St, San Francisco

See cool art, chill with friends, and eat food at this free teen-only event.

Rules and traditions often inspire some of the most creative and rebellious results-artistic, physical, and political. This teen-only event features two films beginning with FREEFLOW, a feature film from Israel about parkour, the physical art of navigating through obstacles by climbing, vaulting, and rolling. ᅠ Eighteen-year-old Avshalom, is the superhero of parkour in his hometown. He's in complete harmony with the urban environment he scales, but struggles to find the same unity with his troubled home-life. ᅠᅠ

Preceded by AN OASIS ON THE HILL, a 12 minute short film about a village that was built as an experiment to unite a community of Jews and Arabs.ᅠ

Before the show, there will be a parkour performance by Flying Frogs Freerunning, an exciting team of high flying acrobats from Santa Rosa.

The screenings will be followed by BUILT, the premier unveiling of photographs created by over 60 San Francisco teens participating in SFJFF's New Jewish Filmmaking Project and produced by Citizen Film. Experience how these photographers artistically reinterpret the guidelines for building a Sukkah, a temporary shelter for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.ᅠ
