The next meeting of the San Francisco UX Book Club will focus on A Pattern Language: Towns, Buildings, Construction by Christopher Alexander.

This seminal book laid the groundwork, many years later, for the concept of design patterns which have become a staple in the world of software design.

Now this is coming full circle and design patterns are not just used by software engineers, but also by digital media designers. Yahoo's Design Pattern Library is one of the most useful repositories of design wisdom anywhere. Our discussion will be moderated by Christian Crumlish, the curator of that library.
