SERENA MANEESH
The first London show in over three years from Emil Nikolaisen and his band of Norwegian noiseniks. Now signed to 4AD (was a band and record label ever so perfectly made for each other?), they release their eagerly-awaited second album ‘No 2: Abyss In B Minor’ on March 22, and it’s something of a masterpiece, mixing the rhythms and abrasiveness of ‘Xtrmntr’-era Primal Scream with the otherworldly beauty of ‘Loveless’.

ENGINEERS
After finally releasing their second album ‘Three Fact Fader’ to rapturous reviews last summer, Engineers’ resurgence was temporarily halted after some personnel issues forced the cancellation of their live dates. Now, with a slightly re-jigged line-up featuring Ulrich Schnauss on keyboard duties, the band make their first appearance of 2010.
