Rare London show from Emil Nikolaisen and his Norwegian noiseniks. Now signed to 4AD (was a band and label ever so perfect for each other?), they released their second album ‘No 2: Abyss In B Minor’ in March. It’s a masterpiece, mixing the rhythms and abrasiveness of ‘Xtrmntr’-era Primal Scream with the otherworldly beauty of ‘Loveless’.
DARKER MY LOVE
The LA-based psych-rock five-piece take time out from supporting Band Of Horses to co-headline tonight’s show. They’ve just finished recording their third album and also found time to contribute a cover of The 13th Floor Elevators’ ‘She Lives (In A Time Of Her Own)’ to Sonic Cathedral’s Roky Erickson tribute album.
Glaswegian indie heroes who take the classic indie sounds of their hometown and mix them with the likes of Sonic Youth, Beat Happening and Dinosaur Jr.
