This special Selichot concert will focus on the themes of Returning and Forgiveness: a profound and ecstatic entry into the spiritual essence of the Days of Awe. The Kirtan goes from 8:00pm to 10:30 with Havdalah. Afterwards, please join Rabbi SaraLeya, Rabbi Diane Elliot and other CHL spiritual leaders for prayer preparing us for the High Holy Days. The Liturgy of Selichot, traditionally prayed at midnight on the Saturday before Rosh Hashanah, leads us, through chanting and meditation, journaling and sharing, to the stillness and receptivity that brings deeper turning/ teshuva and clarity of intention for our New Year. The service after the kirtan is free to the public. KIrtan as priced.
