The South African rock band Seether plays a style of heavy metal mostly associated with the post-grunge era of alternative music, complete with self-obsessed lyrics and a sound that mixes crunchy distortion with brooding texture. The group played main stage on the Uproar Festival alongside bands Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Bullet For My Valentine and Escape The Fate, and supported 3 Doors Down on their European tour.
