Jacomb has embraced photosensitive glass, a material developed by his father John Croucher, a glass pioneer of more than 30 years, in a way that is entirely his own. What makes a Jacomb piece remarkable is the combination of intricate Venetian glasswork techniques, a reinterpretation of decorative imagery from the pacific islands, and his innovative use of photosensitive glass. Through these techniques Jacomb is able to produce works with amazing luminosity and depth.
