"Anthemic horizon-stretching noir pop" (The Fly)
Mental Notes is the debut LP from the critically acclaimed Seeing Scarlet. It is a visceral collection of a dozen short sharp shocks from one of this year's most exciting new bands. "Polished like hardened glass these songs dazzle as much as they cut" (The Fly). "Many a band would commit acts of extreme violence to get their mittos on the hooks. melodies and choruses exhibited by Seeing Scarlet on this, their debut album" (Fuse).
Seeing Scarlet are: Charlie Beall (vocals), Tom Goodfellow (guitar), James Bell (Bass), Charlie Layton (drums). "With ambitious, strident and stadum-craving melodies, this new London band is led by a captivating frontman" - Music Week.
Seeing Scarlet have spent this summer recording, demoing new material for their second album and took on the mission of creating a short film that would challenge 28 Weeks Later as a sci fi horror. The video for the single 'We Will All Be Aliens'
With a sound somewhere between Interpol and David Bowie, and an intense, charismatic presence, they don't disappoint where it counts; live on stage. "Melodramatic, breathless... fantastic beyond belief" (London Lite).
