As a sound artist, Lathan is dedicated to the art of performing, education, and being a member of the community. “It is the artist that reminds us how things should be!”

Michael Thomas Jackson is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He has been involved in notated composition, free improvisation, electronic studio work, avant rock and various group efforts for nearly twenty years. In 1985 he began recording as Cephalic Index and released some thirty cassettes over the following six years. It was during this time that Michael also operated the experimental cassette label Xkurzhen Sound with over fifty releases. As an instrumentalist, Michael is a practitioner of extended techniques on the clarinet, employing multiphonics and microtones as fundamental elements of music-making. The same spirit of experimentation has also been applied to the guitar and to analogue electronics. Over the years Michael has played in or collaborated with many groups and individuals including Eugene Chadbourne, Hal McGee, Zan Hoffman, Spool Ensemble, and more.

Violinist Joel Lambdin enjoys a varied career as performer, teacher, and creator of music. As founder and Artistic Director of two chamber ensembles, the Harrisburg Players’ Collective and MANI, he has brought standard classical music to a wide variety of audiences across the US, Canada, and the West Indies. In keeping with his innovative approach to performance, Mr. Lambdin has begun a new project, MANI, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. In addition to its residency at Greenpoint’s Church of the Ascension, MANI is presenting concerts in the salon style in lofts and bars in Brooklyn. MANI pushes the envelope of the contemporary concert by incorporating free-improvisation with the standard repertoire, as well as scholarly orchestrations of masterworks, and works composed by the performers. As an improviser, Joel has appeared with numerous groups especially in the New York City area. Regular ensembles include the Spool Ensemble in Winston-Salem, NC, Spring Theory in Brooklyn, NY, and the Britt Ensemble, also in Brooklyn.

Elisa Osborne currently dances with Dusan Tynek Dance Theater and works on her own choreography where she is developing her own movement language. Elisa has also performed with Mark Morris Dance Group, Connecticut Ballet, New Jersey Ballet and others. As an Improvisor Elisa has performed with George Steeltoe Ensemble, PIMA Group and Brian Osborne.

Percussionist Brian Osborne is an active performer of improvised music, and has been organizing and participating in DIY music events throughout the US and in Europe for over 15 years. Brian's current projects include George Steeltoe Ensemble, Blastocyst, Paper Leg(s), and DOSDEDOS. Brian collaborates frequently in various settings with Jeffrey Shurdut, Michael Thomas Jackson, Blaise Siwula and with dancer Elisa Osborne. Brian has played with members of Hair Police, Sightings, Mouthus, Sharks with Wings, Oliver Lake, Daniel Carter, Sabir Mateen, KatsuYuki Itakura, Andrew Barker, Peter Evans, Ed Chang, Bruce Eisenbeil, Christoph Irmer, Ge-Suk Yeo, Charles Waters, Seth Misterka, and Rompecabeza. Brian has a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts; and has studied and performed Javanese Gamelan Music. Currently living in Brooklyn NY, Brian continues his studies under Master Percussionist, Milford Graves.

Fritz Welch began singing at the Hallelujah Bacon Church of Decatur Georgia at the tender age of a heathen actionist goatherd. He has spent many hours avoiding work and death while playing drums and exploring other sculptural possibilities. In this practice the fundamental determinance of line and volume is accumulated in a collision of stripped down abundance and never ending ocular vibration.
