Second Saturdays - Talkin' Truman: From Precinct to President July 14, 2012

Archivist David Clark will explore Harry S. Truman's forty-year career in politics from his first election victory in 1922 through his activities on behalf of Democratic candidates during the 1960 presidential campaign. Mr. Clark will use documents, photographs and film to tell the amazing story how Harry Truman, a product of machine politics, attained the nation's highest elective office and then became a political elder statesman.
