Join the Lupus Foundation of America-DC/MD/VA Chapter at http://www.lupusdmv.org for the Second Annual Walk for Lupus Now! Richmond on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Cost: Free — no fee to walk. Check-in: 2:00 p.m. Walk: 3:00 p.m. to approx. 5:00 p.m. Walk proceeds support free services, support groups, workshops, education and research for the 40,000+ people in Virginia with lupus—90 percent of whom are women. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease with no known cure that can damage any part of the body including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys and the brain.
