forever changing continuum. Todays
advanced technology only intensifies this rapid succession of ideas and
transformations of society and its interactions with entertainment. Today, new media is a growing force and its
implications continue to expand exponentially.
New media poses problems for sports and entertainment, as well as
provides opportunities for the creation of new and exciting frontiers to solve
these problems and expand in all directions.
UCLA has the undeniably unique opportunity to bring together experts
from all fields to address and discuss these problems as well as the exciting solutions
that new media introduces.

The Spring Summit will consist of two keynote speakers, two cross industry panels, and six industry specific panels: film and television, sports management, sports marketing, publishing, music, and social networking.

The UCLA Sports &
Entertainment Business Network (SEBN) was founded in spring of 2008 by a group
of ambitious and visionary undergraduate students at UCLA who saw the
untapped potential of their location in the heart of Hollywood and the creative
application of their generations ideas and technological knowledge and decided
to do something about it.

The mission of SEBN is
to educate undergraduates about the entertainment industries, provide
opportunities to gain experience, and help employers, alumni, and students to
connect through networking, work experience, and community involvement.
