Seaport Music Festival presents SUMMER SOUL w/DJ JONATHAN TOUBIN August 18, 2011

For the next couple of months the Seaport Music Festival is bringing in North America's most popular soul DJ MR JONATHAN TOUBIN (of Soul Clap & Dance-Off Land of 1000 Dances, etc - http://newyorknighttrain.com/soulclap/jtbio.html) to spin and curate live entertainment Thursdays at the magical Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club (on north side of South Street Seaport's Pier 17). The outdoor venue, which lies at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge (with a breathtaking view!), imported 200 tons of sand to make a beach club on the Manhattan side of the East River!

This week is one of the final installments of New York Night Train's "Summer Soul" series - a mix of Latin soul, doo wop-y r&b, and other bright sunny soulful sounds direct from Toubin's rare original 45rpm vinyl collection in relaxed outdoor locations for your dancing pleasure.

Mexico City's dj Carlos Tropicaza will be heating things up with south of the border soul selections from 6pm-10pm and then Jonathan Toubin will captain the ship from 10pm-2am for dancing, listening, and/or as a soundtrack to cooling out under the stars in an exquisite location...
