Sounduk and Band on the Wall present the captivating singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer Seaming To and Icelandic experimental electronic artist Kira Kira for a night of beautiful, boundary-breaking music.

“the voice of the 21st century” BBC Radio 1

“Seaming’s vocal styling is impressively kaleidoscopic.” Clash Magazine

Seaming To has contributed her unique vocals to the music of Robert Wyatt, Herbaliser and Cinematic Orchestra. Hot on the heels of her debut CD Seaming, she presents the first UK tour of her song cycle Songs For My Grandmother. A compelling tribute to one woman through the eyes of her granddaughter, the performance features Seaming, acclaimed concert pianist Enloc Wu, plus spycorders, vintage electronics and the poetry of Judy Kendall.

Kira Kira is the alias of Icelandic composer and audio/visual artist Kristin Björk Kristjansdottir. A founder member of Kitchen Motors, a mischievous label and collective based on experiments in electronic music and arts, she continually breaks boundaries between forms and genres. Her opening set incorporates material from her latest album Feathermagnetik and first feature film Grandma Lo-fi - The Basement Tapes of Sigridur Nielsdottir, celebrated in MoMA and festivals around the world.
