We're thrilled to have Bambi Francisco as our November speaker. Bambi has focused on startups since 1995, originally as a journalist with CNNfn and Dow Jones MarketWatch, and recently with her own startup, Vator.tv (a video social network for startups). Come hear her thoughts on working with the press (both Vator.tv and traditional), starting her own company, and what she's seeing in the startup world these days.

Vator.tv is a social network for technology startup companies which gives entrepreneurs a platform to connect with investors, acquirers and media. Vator.tv gives investors useful tools to keep track of companies and industries that interest them, and provides a revolutionary interaction platform to discover the best investment opportunities in technology.

The Vator.tv Newsroom is a trustworthy beacon to the world on the technology startup spirit and the investing which turns these dreams into reality.

Why the name Vator.tv? The name came from "elevator," as in "elevator pitch," which is used to describe a brief overview of a startup company delivered in the time span of an elevator ride.

Vator.tv, in San Francisco, was launched in June 2007 and is funded by angel investors, including Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal, Richard Rosenblatt, former Chairman of MySpace, and Georges Harik, former Google executive who helped build Google's AdSense technology.

Bambi Francisco is Vator.tv co-founder and CEO. She was a syndicated columnist and correspondent covering internet and emerging technology trends and investments across the public and private sectors for Dow Jones MarketWatch. Vator.tv is an extension of Bambi's passion to give investors an edge by exposing opportunities at the earliest stages. This is a focus she's had throughout her career. In 1995, Bambi created, launched and produced three shows for CNNfn, one of which was "Capital Ideas," a show on innovation focusing on IPOs and deals.
