In this presentation Makara co-founder and CEO, Issac Roth will explore both the risks and benefits of moving Java and LAMP applications to the cloud. Issac will explore the technical best practices one should consider during the migration, as well as take an in-depth look at the potential problems
and solutions you may encounter in the process.

Spent 20 years working in the Enterprise application development for National Retailers. Developed first e-commerce site in 1993 (when we all thought it would never last), and have developed and architecture 5 subsequent generations of e-commerce platforms. Focus of the last 2+ years has been in helping enterprises migrate their application to the cloud as a Senior Consultant with Appirio
