His book, Save the Cat! The Last Book on Screenwriting You'll Ever Need, based on his actual experience, brings a straightforward, honest, and precise appraisal of what it takes to write, develop, and pitch stories that resonate. Published in 2005, and now in its sixth printing, Save the Cat! has generated "standing room only," appearances in New York, London, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The AWG presents lectures by novelists, screenwriters, agents, producers, and other industry professionals at free monthly meetings. In addition, AWG members may attend special interest groups that offer support and feedback for works-in-progress.
