The first annual ScreenBurn Beta Festival brings the world of video games to the South by Southwest (SXSW) family of events. Scheduled from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, March 10 and from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, ScreeenBurn features short presentations by industry experts on relevant gaming-related topics. ScreenBurn takes places on the first floor of the Austin Convention Center; there is no admission charge to attend.

The free event is featuring top speakers such as Bill Carlton (world champion Atari player and star of the new documentary "High Score," which is screening at SXSW Film), Justin Hall (trend-setting blogger and gaming analyst for publications ranging from Rolling Stone to Salon), Glennis McClellan (head of production at Republik Games, the company behind the cutting-edge dating game "Spend the Night"), Sheri Graner Ray (author of "Gender Inclusive Game Design" and considered the world's leading expert on this topic), and Harvey Smith (immersive environments expert who now serves as Creative Director at Midway Games in Austin)
