Scotland Travel Program February 11, 2008

On Monday, February 11, at 7 p.m., Myrla Brand, combines her love of history and travel in a slide and lecture presentation on Scotland at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Avenue in downtown Evanston. Sample the highlights of Scotland--its food, architecture, history, culture and people. Learn about construction of the kilt and a thatch roof. View the new Parliament Building, the new Falkirk Wheel, and the Queen's former yacht, Britannia. Take a look at the events in a typical Highland Games in this distinctive part of the United Kingdom.
