Scope is a challenge on every technology project, of every size. Why ? It changes. We know it is going to be a factor, yet it often becomes 'the elephant in the room'.

Agile is all about responding to change, yet it’s difficult to find practices where scope management is addressed directly, or even acknowledged.

ThoughtWorks consultants Angela Ashworth and Mark Coster will talk about a practice they have developed – Scope Budgeting. They have successfully used Scope Budgeting from small team projects to large distributed programmes of work where these issues are magnified.

The briefing will use a series of examples to walk through this lightweight approach to managing scope. You will come away with ideas and specific practices to help manage scope on your projects.

Who should come?

Product managers, Business Leaders, IT Leaders, Business Analysts, Project Managers. Anyone struggling with Scope Management, or struggling with Agile adoption.
