Is dark energy really accelerating the universe? Three Lawrence Berkeley National laboratory cosmologists bring you the latest insights on nature's greatest mystery on April 25, 7 p.m. at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, CA.
Greg Aldering: We know the universe is accelerating because of Type 1a supernovae. Aldering is one of the best in the business when it comes to hunting down these exploding stars.
Shirley Ho: A great yardstick to measure the cosmos is the mesh of the network of galaxies, also called baryon oscillation. Ho uses this yardstick to understand the accelerating universe.
Eric Linder: Maybe dark energy isn't driving the universe. Maybe it's something even stranger. Author of The First Principles of Cosmology, Linder asks out-of-the-box questions about the cosmos.
