Arts Ananda Trust to bestow first Scholarship on artist Dushyant Sureshbhai Patel. Board members of the Arts Ananda Trust have decided to confer the first Arts Ananda Trust scholarship on artist Dushyant Sureshbhai Patel of Baroda. The scholarship award will be conferred on the artist at the prestigious Art Summit convening in New Delhi later next week. Dushyant Patel was selected after a country-wide search in art schools for a young artist displaying unusual artistic talent and professional commitment to the visual arts. Born in 1987, Dushyant Patel holds a Diploma in Painting from the Sheth C. N. College of Fine art (Ahmedabad) Gujarat. He is currently enrolled for his Masters programme in Graphics at the renowned M.S. University, Baroda, Gujarat. The Arts Ananda Trust scholarship is to encourage deserving artists with a cash award that enables them to stay committed to a future career in the arts. Trustees who selected the awardee include Trust President Shobha Bhatia, who runs Gallerie Ganesha in New Delhi, world renowned painter Paresh Maity and classical dance icon Geeta Chandran.
