Schnittke's Concerto for Choir on SACRED MUSIC IN A SACRED SPACE CONCERT SERIES February 13, 2008

The highly-acclaimed Choir of St. Ignatius Loyola will perform Alessandro Striggio's polychoral "Ecce Beatam Lucem", Alberto Ginastera's dramatic "Lamentations of Jeremiah", and Alfred Schnittke's monumental "Concerto for Choir."

7:00PM Pre-concert recital by the Russian Chamber Chorus of New York, under the direction of Nikolai Kachanov, singing Russian sacred choral concerti of the 17th-20th Centuries by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Anonymous composers.
