The Honeytrap present

Scarborough
By Fiona Evans

A dirty weekend by the sea and a brand new PSP!
We’ll screw, we’ll laugh, we’ll drink every alcopop in town.
We’ll just stay here, we’ll not go out at all.
This is our time. By ourselves. Just us.
… we need to talk.

In a faded hotel room in Scarborough, a couple is having an illicit weekend away. Amidst the peeling wallpaper they laugh, quarrel and make love. But they don’t dare go out, because this affair is between a mouthy sixteen year old and a hot Phys Ed teacher…

Up-and-coming Melbourne company The Honeytrap follow the success of their 2012 season (Savage in Limbo) with a stellar line-up for 2013, launching with Fiona Evans’ Scarborough; an electrifying portrayal of a dangerously charged romance, and its disturbing implications.

"tabloid sensationalism turned into human drama." (British Theatre Guide)

"... a sense of claustrophobic tension and voyeuristic discomfort." (Irish Theatre Magazine)
