The heavy metal British band Saxon has been around since 1977, with only a two-year hiatus, reuniting in 1990. During the '80s it was one of the most popular European metal bands. The current lineup features Biff Byford, Doug Scarratt, Nigel Glockler, Paul Quinn and Nibbs Carter.
