Savvy Cellar Wine Class: From Vineyard to Glass
Taught by a local winemaker, Aimee Baker, this course is designed to give you an overview of winemaking, starting with the grapes in the vineyard through the winemaker’s finishing touches. Vineyard techniques, growing season, and “terroir” have distinct influences on how a wine will ultimately taste in your glass. Did you know that a winemaker has 30 potential choices/decisions to make before bottling? The class will be conducted in a fun and casual combination lecture and wine tasting format. Students will taste a variety of wines both nights that are representative examples of concepts taught in class.

Dates: Monday Jan. 26th & Feb. 2nd, 2009 (2-night series), 7-9pm

Fee: $73 (includes the instruction, materials and wine of course!)
Registration: Online @ Savvy Cellar or San Carlos Parks & Recreation
