Saving Places: Preservation: the foundation of sustainability February 2, 2010

Preservation: The Foundation of Sustainability will feature workshops,
educational sessions, and special forums that will address the connection between historic preservation, sustainability, resource conservation, green building issues, community development, and the positive impact historic preservation can have on the future.
The Saving Places conference is regarded as the premiere statewide historic preservation conference in the nation. The conference helps to raise the standard for preservation by providing learning opportunities through educational sessions, workshops, and tours, presenting new technology and techniques, as well as basic courses for newcomers to preservation. Courses address a broad variety of learning opportunities in building techniques, architectural conservation, archaeology, landscape preservation, planning, management, economic assessment, heritage tourism, preservation advocacy, organizational development and current events.
