Saturday 30th August - Thames walk - south west side! August 30, 2008

I think it would be nice to do a photowalk from Hammersmith through to Battersea (maybe even Vauxhall). This walk is going to take in as much Thames side walking as possible on the southwest side of London. It is a part of London not many of us do, as it is not that central, but it has some very cool and interesting stuff along the way.

It is a bit of a longer walk but I suspect that the stuff of interest is a little more spread out so we won't be stopping every 2-3 mins. Well thats the hope anyway

Starting point will be under the north end of the Hammersmith bridge overlooking the Thames, on the public footpath. I will be there from 11.15-11.30

The suggested route and the day will kick off at around 11.30. We will wait for 15 mins for people before setting off. here is a google maps link to it;

11.45 we will follow the best/scenic route to get us to Putney initially and then to a pub.

We will be in the midway Pub for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours before doing the second leg. So if people want to catch for the second part meet us in the pub hopefully for about 13.00-14.00
