Praised by The New York Times for her luminous voice and intensely expressive interpretations, fast-rising soprano Sarah Shafer debuts at the Glyndebourne Festival, with the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and with PCMS during the 2012-13 season. The first of her two PCMS appearances this year shows her in the company of legendary pianist Richard Goode – presenting a rare opportunity to hear this master artist in one of Philadelphia’s most intimate venues. Featuring a selection of songs and solo piano works by Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Mahler, this is one PCMS collaboration not to be missed.
