Austin-based choreographer Sarah Irwin will premiere two works All the Best and Conversation with Dog. Sarah will also present a section of Vanish as a works-in-progress.

Vanish creates a sensuous new world of nomadic peoples whose passions and puzzlements are reflected in their movement.

As an extension of the Weekend of Texas Contemporary Dance, Sarah has invited two Austin-based choreographers to share her evening. Caroline Sutton, Artistic Director of Wicked Cricket Dance Theatre, will be performing Tending the Garden, a work influenced from the study of Hawaiian hula, Javanese dance and Butoh. Ellen Bartel, Artistic Director of Spank Dance Company, will present Knock Knock and an excerpt of Sonambulo, a collaboration with poet Richard Acevedo.
