"Oh Little Fire" is SARAH HARMER's first album in five years, and you can tell from the very first song. There are reoccurring themes of freedom, renewal, fresh beginnings and change, all of which Harmer no doubt experienced during her extended break from the music business. During this break, Harmer focused her attention on both political and environmental campaigns, as well as Protecting Escarpment Rural Land (PERL), the organization that she helped co-found. Also during this time, Harmer sang backup vocals for Neko Case, Howie Beck, and Great Lake Swimmers. Oh little fire lives up to its name and indeed lights up the musical lights and makes both itself and Sarah something to listen to.

Critically acclaimed CLARE BURSON, raised in Nashville but currently residing in Brooklyn, opens the show. She was originally trained as a classical violinist and educated at Brown, and she has gained notoriety for her amazing voice, her literate, poetic songs, and her rootsy, country/jazzy sound. Her songs have been featured on XM Radio and the TV series Dawson's Creek. She is armed with a voice that The Nashville Rage has described as "awakening on a sunny morning, a breeze whispering through soft curtains...rumpled, a little seductive, and highly musical."
