A native of Mumbai, Sanjay was an active member of the Los Angeles music scene, as a guitar player and composer, where he played and absorbed a myriad of styles ranging from Jazz, Brazilian, African, and Gospel. During 15 years of stay in Los Angeles, he recorded and toured with a variety of artists including Angelique Kidjo, Carlos Santana, Dave Weckl, Louis Johnson, Dumazz, Sambaguru, Michael Mc Donald, Fred Raulston among others, and played on some of the most prestigious stages including the Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl, and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
