Sandra Kistler Scholarship Golf Tournament April 23, 2009

The Shelby Breakfast Rotary Club will host the Annual Sandra Kistler Memorial Golf Tournament each spring to raise money for a scholarship fund in memory of Sandra Kistler. Proceeds from the tournament will be handled by the nonprofit Scholarship Foundation which handles most if not all of the scholarship money raised for Cleveland County School Students through other various avenues. The criteria for who will receive the scholarship will be based on academics and need. Priority will be given to Students in the Career and Technical Education program which was the program Sandra oversaw. Applications will be accepted from students in the Cleveland County School System. A committee of four members of the Shelby Breakfast Rotary Club and at least one member of Sandras immediate family will review the applications to select the student or students to receive the scholarship(s). Each year some of the money raised will be given as part of the scholarship and some of the money will be put in an accumulating fund for future scholarships.
