For Sandpit #6 we’ll be venturing out of London for the first time, and heading to Brighton on the evening of Thursday 21 August. We’ll be at the Lighthouse on 28 Kensington Street, BN1 4AJ. Doors (and bar) open at six, scheduled games begin at seven.
It’s a busy programme, including Festival favourites Checkpoint and the Lost Sport of Olympia, as well as new games Tourist Trap and City Blocks, plus more - full details below.
There’s no need to book places on individual games in advance, but you’ll be able to put your name down for any you’re really keen on once you arrive.
Lost Sport of Olympia
Create a maze with human walls, and then try to escape.
7pm-8pm. Unlimited players.
Add a block to the growing game board, trying to help your team and build a city at the same time.
7pm to 10pm, 5 minutes a turn. 50 players.
Vote to set the rules of the game: how you win, what you do, and how long the game lasts are all negotiable, unless the votes say otherwise.
7.15pm-7.45pm. 10 players.
Lie, sneak, run and smuggle in a desperate attempt to get your living room past the eager eyes of the border guards.
8pm-8.45pm. 30 players.
A stag party has gone horribly wrong, and you’re left to help an innocent man with Near Total Party Amnesia to fulfill his tasks - if you can figure out what those tasks are.
8.15pm-9pm. 6 players.
The Comfort of Strangers
Wander the streets of Brighton with GPS-enable ipaqs, using audio cues to find your team-mates and avoid enemies.

Employ double-bluffs and finger-guns to get more than your fair share when the heist goes wrong.
9.15pm to 9.45pm. 8 players.

9.45 pm to 10.15pm, 10 minutes a game. 10 players.
Pick Up and Play games
Pick up one of our tested rulesets and settle in for a game of Foldover, Paper Telephone, Dadaist Pursuit or Werewolf.
