This year marks the 31st annual Nikkei Matsuri. Back in 1976 the City of San Jose approached the Japanese-American community and asked them to hold an event, which became the Nikkei Matsuri. I wonder if they thought it would grow to be so BIG?

Great festival, especially if you like Japanese food! There was a really great cultural exhibit plus lots of stalls selling handmade Japanese stuff! I like this festival because it's not as crowded as many others.
