San Jose Jazz Society Youth Combo and Orchestra - Youth In Jazz February 5, 2006

The San Jose Jazz Society celebrates youth in jazz with a special performance by the San Jose Jazz Society Youth Orchestra directed by Aaron Lington. Opening for the Youth Orchestra will be the San Jose Jazz Society Youth Combo directed by Frank Sumares. Personnel in the Youth Orchestra include Saxes: Andy Perlitch (alto 1), Scott Takahashi (alto 2), Chris Almada (tenor 1), Christina Greever (tenor 2), Nathaniel MacLise (bari), Iris Yellum (alternate). Trumpets: Ricky Hall (split lead), Rigoberto Velez (split lead), Joanna Brockhouse (tpt 3), Akhil Gopal (Tpt 4), Trombones:Emma Hoag (tbn 1), Allison Scott (tbn 2), April Ham (tbn 3). Rhythm: Greg Fleischut (guitar), Greg Chen (piano), Lindsay Miller (vibes), Xochlit Gareia (bass), Gabby Horlick (drums), Molly Fensterwald (guitar alt.) Concert will open with a few selections performed by the San Jose JazzSociety Middle School Combo directed by Frank Sumares.
