San Francisco Symphony: MTT conducts Shostakovich's Ninth March 1, 2008

MTT wrote Notturno for flutist Paula Robison, who is featured in these performances. Two other works span the musical spectrum: The Sibelius penetrates to the spirit’s core, while the Shostakovich is perfectly timed comedy.
