San Francisco Symphony Chinese New Year Celebration February 8, 2009

Join the San Francisco Symphony for an afternoon for the entire family to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Conducted by Carolyn Kuan, the concert program brings together a unique blend of Eastern and Western music featuring celebrated Chinese violinist Siqing Lu performing The Butterfly Lovers Concerto, Chinese music ensemble Melody of China performing on traditional instruments, and the Crystal Children’s Choir performing Jasmine Flower by Bay Area composer Gang Situ.
