San Francisco Silent Film Festival: Aelita, Queen of Mars (1924) July 11, 2009

The film starts on Earth where a dreamy inventor kills his wife in a fit of jealous rage, and flees in a rocket ship to Mars where bored, libidinous Queen Aelit has been keeping an eye on him via interplanetary telescope.
