The San Francisco Girls Chorus caps off an extraordinary year with its annual Spring Concert, Chorissima and Friends, on Friday, May 19, at 8pm at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Fillmore and Jackson Streets in San Francisco. Chorissima, the concert, touring and performing ensemble of the San Francisco Girls Chorus, will be joined for this special event by guest artists Karen Gottlieb, Emil Miland, Leslie Chin, and Elizabeth Freimuth, as well as Virtuose (the ?older sister? graduate chamber ensemble of the Chorus) and the Level IV Chorus ensemble (Chorissima?s ?younger sisters in song?).

The concert features Johannes Brahms, Op. 17 for women?s chorus, 2 horns, and harp; and a new commission by David Conte, A Hope Carol, on a text by Christina Rossetti. Included in the program are selections by Kodaly, Matsushita, Szymko and Holmes.
