The San Francisco Conservation Corps will celebrate its 25th anniversary at City Hall on September 4th, 2008 from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

The event will honor SFCC's founder, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and the accomplishments of this incredible community service organization. San Francisco's former mayors Willie L. Brown Jr, Frank Jordan and Art Agnos as well as Mayor Gavin Newsom have joined the host committee for this special celebration.

Tickets are $100 and the event will feature music, wine and delicious finger foods. All proceeds will help SFCC continue to offer low-income young adults the opportunity to achieve their educational goals and develop job skills while working on projects that enhance our environment.

To purchase tickets or find out more, please contact Claire McCabe at 415-928-7322 x306 or at [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Over the past 25 years, SFCC has grown from a basic education and training program serving 24 young adults to a multi-service agency providing education, work readiness, job training, leadership development and life skills training to 100 low-income young adults each year. Since its inception, SFCC has engaged more than 4,500 young adults in more than 4 million hours of community service to San Francisco, enhancing local parks, renovating playgrounds, and diverting tons of recyclables from landfills.
