Inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein's famous 1945 musical, Christopher Wheeldon's Carousel (A Dance) fuses the lyrical score to the bittersweet romance of its central couple.

2. Pacific
Composer: Lou Harrison
Choreography: Mark Morris

Mark Morris’ Pacific combines glorious music, passionate themes, and dramatic movement.

3. The Fifth Season
Composer: Karl Jenkins
Choreography: Helgi Tomasson

Tomasson’s tour de force The Fifth Season is a diverse palette of neoclassical style in one imaginary space.

San Francisco Ballet premiere

Choreography: Jerome Robbins

Robbins’ youthful and spirited first ballet makes its long-awaited San Francisco Ballet premiere. After its critical success in the 1940s, it was expanded into the Broadway musical On the Town.
