Beijing Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1977, is a classical orchestra based in Beijing, China.One of its best-known performances was an unfolding of Chinese historyand culture performed at Badaling in the Great Wall which wastransmitted internationally via satellite.

TheBeijing Symphony Orchestra was set up in October 1977. Since itsestablishment, the orchestra has staged a lot of famous works byforeign and Chinese composers. The orchestra's repertoire includessymphonic works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Berlioz,Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Mahler, Sibelius,Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Shotakovitch and orchestral music, concertos,operas and ballet works by J.S.
