Feed your soul with a diverse roster of music while soaking in the latest exhibit at the Pro Arts Gallery!

A new local chamber ensemble conceived by San Francisco Community Music Center faculty members, Jennifer Peringer and Martha Rodriguez-Salazar. Leah diTullio and Ron Relic complete the unusual lineup, which consists of flute, clarinet, viola, piano and mezzo soprano. The upcoming program features works by contemporary composers Brahms, Bruch, Saint-Saens, Holmboe, Villa-Lobos, Obradors and D'Arcy Reynolds.

D'Arcy Reynolds has received commissions and prizes from the San Francisco Foundation, the American Composers Forum, Meet the Composer, ASCAP, and the American Music Center, and she recently traveled to South Africa on a Global Connections grant from Meet the Composer, where her music was featured in the documentary Inner Landscape. Mezzo and Flutist Bio
Martha Rodriguez-Salazar was born and raised in Mexico City, coming to the United States in 1998 to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Music at Mills College in Oakland. As both flutist and mezzosoprano, Ms. Rodriguez has toured extensively in the United States, Mexico and Europe, with Classical, Baroque and folk ensembles and orchestras, winning awards in many of the countries where she has performed. In 1995 she began her conducting career, directing various ensembles, ranging from chamber music to flute and vocal choirs to operas. Ms. Rodriguez's diverse teaching activities include flute, voice, piano, Latin Vocal Workshop and a Latino youth scholarship program at the Community Music Center. She frequently plays with Jennifer Peringer in a classical and folk duo.
