The Red Room @ Cafe 939 will be hosting Same Mistake Twice for a night of female-led pop punk. They’ll be joined by Jaci & Those guys, the winners of the recent Battle of the Bands at The Red Room. Be sure to catch this free show!

Same Mistake Twice is a Boston based pop/punk band that met while attending Berklee College of Music. They have had a solid four-piece band for about a year, but are more excited than ever to begin their journey together. This past summer they played three Warped Tour 2009 dates, and this summer they plan on doing the entire tour. They were also able to open for Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls in mid April. Their lead singer, Alisha Dixon, has auditioned for American Idol about six times and was seen on the 2008 Hollywood week, season 7! With catchy lyrics, and spiteful undertones, they hope that within each song is a meaning that changes on a person-to-person basis.

Jaci & Those Guys will be opening the show. They’ve recently won a scholarship to the 5-Week Performance program at Berklee College of Music through a Battle of the Bands held at The Red Room. Their sound is more than just accessible: it comes at a fast pace with an occasional heaviness. They’ve done well in multiple sponsored events, and their success is sure to continue.
