Salsa Speed Dating Galway August 8, 2009

The hottest night for Galway's singles will be the Salsa for Singles night brought to you by The Galway Flame in association with Salsa Mania!

We're mixing speed dating with dancing! You'll learn all the steps and just like on a speed dating night, you'll meet so many lovely singles thorughout the night! Instead of going on a series of short dates like on a speed dating night, participants will go on a series of short dances with all the other singles. It’s also ideal for salsa novices, as all the steps will be taught to you on the night by the friendly Vitor from Salsamania.

It’s all a bit of fun, and a great way of meeting new people. And for those who have never danced before, it’s a great way to get a taster for salsa while at the same time meeting lots of singles.

So how will it work on the night?

You will learn three steps, starting with the cha cha cha. Once you’ve been shown how, then you need to practice – so you will try out the new steps with various partners.

Then you will learn the salsa, and finally the up close and personal bachata. At the end of the dancing, you will also have the opportunty to fill in a speed dating “match card” – and if there has been a mutual attraction between you and someone you met, you both will receive each other’s contact details!

At the end of the salsa speed dating, the all night salsa party will kick off, with 2 DJs and and the best latin tunes til late!
