Sakura Matsuri: Cherry Blossom Festival April 30, 2011

Participate in New York City's "rite of spring" at Sakura Matsuri. With over 200 trees in bloom, Brooklyn Botanic Garden's flowering cherries take center stage during this phenomenal weekend celebrating Japanese culture. Tens of thousands of visitors come to experience two days of the best of both traditional and contemporary Japanese arts and culture, including dance, martial arts, manga, costume play ("cosplay"), workshops, demonstrations, and guided tours of the Garden's Japanese-inspired plant collections.
