traditionally the yogis from ancient india observed strict celibacy, a practice known as brahmacharya this allowed them to focus the powerful energy (kundalini) up the spine to the higher energy centers. yet in our modern culture, practicing celibacy is not always practical or appropriate and as a result spiritual sexuality needs to be reexamined with fresh modern eyes.
