In 2010, the South Australian Children’s Ballet Company celebrates 25 years - of producing some of the country’s top dancers, crafting countless breathtaking ballet performances and providing young SA dancers with world-class instruction - with a special 25th Anniversary Silver Gala Performance.

The SACBC was formed in 1986 for South Australian dancers aged 10 to 19 to encourage, promote and develop opportunities for young dancers to perform in works directed by professional choreographers, in a professionally run company.

From enchanting red shoes to a chilly Arctic snowscape, the Silver Gala Performance will take audiences on a journey though the Company’s illustrious history, highlighting the many superb ballets that have been choreographed for the SACBC, particularly over the last 10 years.

The Gala will involve 30 SACBC dancers, with former Company members returning as special guest artists. The Gala has been produced by SACBC Artistic Director Beverley Waters and internationally acclaimed dancer, teacher and choreographer Paul Boyd.

The SACBC 25th Anniversary Silver Gala Performance takes place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th November 2010 at the Scott Theatre, Adelaide. Tickets can be purchased from all BASS outlets for $25 Adults, $15 Concession and $13 Children.
